More Logo Design!

So this year has been all about Logos as it seems to be what I am contacted about a lot lately!

There is a lovely shop opening up at the end of the month in Golestone, Norfolk. It is intending to be the hub for MTG, D&D, pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Warhammer 40k and much for Norfolk.

I was asked to design the company logo which will also be displayed on the the shop front (very excited!)

I was given very specific instructions. If any of you know Magic the Gathering well you will recognise a lot of elements!

Team Website

More news on Untitled Gaming.

I’ve been hard at work designing the layout backgrounds and banners for the teams new website. It was a lot of fun and I can show off the banner I created here:

Lately I have been creating a fair amount of Webdesign content so I think I will update next with some illustration work! (Let’s see if I keep to that)

New Year Logos

I have finally moved out of Welwyn Garden City( like last weekend!) and I am back in friendly Manchester while I search for more work. Updates will be coming a lot more regularly now my internet is better.

Logos

Untitled Gaming has hired me again to redesign their logo for their two new teams: Untitled Storm and Untitled Fury.

Had a lot of fun designing them, here’s a sneak peak of the b/w version I’ve been allowed to show off ;)

Coloured versions will be coming soon!

Back to work!

Me and Animation

I was applying for a job yesterday at Mediatonic, when at the end of the application form they asked me to describe something special about me. “Be original and creative” they said.
Suddenly I was hit by an inspiration to write a poem about what I feel animation is to me. That would stand out now wouldn’t it?
….

Hopefully…

Unfortunately I couldn’t use the whole thing and ended up shortening it to the 150 character allowance, but I quite liked it and thought I’d share. Here’s what I came up with:

A thousand worlds light the sky,
And touch our silver screens.
To flip the page, trick the eye,
Is written in my genes.

But to dance a pen across the page
To create colours form and themes.
Who wouldn’t want to live a life,
Animating dreams?

In that moment I pretty much reminded myself why I love animation. I always said that animators are lucky because we never have to fully grow-up. But I think the luckiest thing about being an animator is that we don’t have to tuck our imagination away and get on with our lives. We push ourselves to embrace it completely and share it and shape it. Being an animator is a beautiful thing!

My Recent Doodles

I have been playing a lot of League of Legends Lately. I mean ALOT, a lot a lot. Alot.
And turns out it’s a really fun and beautiful game with an absolutely gorgeous representation of characters.

Anyway, I have been designing my own League of Legends Character for funsies. Here’s the first draft sketch so far:

Going to look into filming my painting. Then it’ll be like a real art spotlight!

And everyone wants to watch me paint, fuckup, paint some more, flame, paint.
